Biarritz Day II

Got to do some proper wandering today. With some good tunes in my ears, I set off to discover everything Biarritz has to offer. I ventured South to where the waves are bigger, the surfers have perfected their surf look (including identikit matching stubble - Eric Cantona look) but the beaches are large rocks. There's a great shack on the cliff top edge looking down on the surf below. You can chill a few hours away with the beautiful people here. There was one problem today though, the beautiful people were angry. There was an air of pressure you could sense that put Biarritz in a bad mood. Surf without sun can be accepted but no sun, no surf created the air you generally get before a summer thunder storm. Well the rain has broken tonight so the waves tomorrow should be mighty fine. For tonight, a beer in cafe cafe will surfice, watching the world go by.

I love Biarritz

I think I've found a great place here. Only 1.5 hours from Londres and I was chilled on arrival in less time than that! Its picturesque, has a cool crowd and fun in a laid back sense. Hotel is basic, cheap but clean and right in the centre. Its now 10pm, the sun is setting and there is live jazz on the beach, French style. A quick aperitif and then some fab food somewhere. Once more, the world is my lobster!
